WOW, WOW, WOW! These new edition Silver Series Lupifaros have blown us away!

Where do we start? 

LOOKS : the most beautiful dark gold lacquer we've seen on any new sax - absolute classic looking. Front F pearl giving it that classic vintage vibe.

BUILD : super tight rods, perfectly balanced keys, super neat soldering, refreshingly the overall weight is comparable to that of a vintage horn - we're a repair shop and are super impressed with everything about these.

PLAYABILITY : unbelievable - we play tested these against T James RAWS, Yamaha Customs, Yanagisawas, Selmer MKVI, P Mauriats - they seriously play as good as instruments 2 or 3 times the price in every way.

SOUND : the most important factor of any sax, this is where we were really blown away. WARMTH! Just like the alto version, the warmest modern sax we've ever played, unlike most modern horns they don't have that built in ping you get in the sound. Rather like the best vintage horns they have that thickness to the tone - remind us of the best bits about a nice Buescher with a little zing you get from a King Zephyr or early S20 plus that core from a Selmer BA or Super Sax. If you're looking for that Getz, Byas, Young, Gonsalves vibe, this'll do it perfectly. Obviously, put a high baffle piece on it and you'll get that funky, contemporary sound without the shrillness.
