Description
This is a Buescher Aristocrat Series 1 tenor saxophone, art deco engraving & the sought after "small" bell model, made in 1937 in Elkhart, Indiana, USA.
These small bell Bueschers are absolutely terrific, great tuning, pretty modern keywork and one of the most glorious fat, warm sounds ever made! Many famous players have sported this model - check out Sonny Rollins during the mid 1960s using a small bell Buescher (the model directly after this, different engraving and key guards but otherwise the same). Also check out Iceland's sax giant player Oskar Gudjonnson an avid Buescher player and of course Ike Quebec who played this model.
A very cool looking horn in great shape for this age. Just had a full strip, wash, rebuild service by our in store sax tech (£200 cost) - this plays perfectly and comes with our famous 12 month warranty.
Comes complete with super clean hard case.
