This is a Conn New Wonder (sometimes referred to as a Chu Berry) tenor sax made in 1924 in Elkhart, Indiana, USA.

One of our favourite horns, the Conn New Wonders have a gorgeous, wonderful, fat tone and play great! There's a massive resurgence in these older Conns - many players are looking for that warmer, beefier sound that you can achieve on these rather than the standard Selmer focused tone.

It has had a full restoration, rebuild & repad (£500 cost) - plays great and has that huge, warm Conn sound - absolutely terrific!

*REFURBISHED - a refurbished instrument has (at the very least) been stripped, washed, cleaned, polished, professionally rebuilt and set up to play perfectly. Worn corks, felts and pads will have been replaced, spring tensions balanced, key heights adjusted etc. Some instruments will have been completely overhauled using all new pads - any specialist work or customization will be included in the instrument description.
