Built in the UK by Dave Farley, head technician at Worldwind Music who distribute Trevor James instruments, Andy Sheppard autograph saxes ...

It's one of the best modern saxophones we have played to date. It performs brilliantly with a rich tone and perfect resistance and the quality of materials and workmanship are excellent.

Available with or without the high F Sharp Key

The RAW has been a big hit with pro players used to vintage Selmers – the keywork layout is close in feel and position (similar to a vintage french sax), plus the tone is fantastic -  it can give you that vintage 50s/60s sound but can also be played big and bright and modern. It's not too centered or broad, just right and incredibly versatile - you can use this for classical, jazz, rock ... Combined with spot on intonation, you have a great sax that perfectly combines the best features of vintage and modern. The new RAW Signature Custom saxophones have been developed following more than 12 months of testing, discussion and research with sax players around the world who wanted a genuine vintage sound along with great ergonomics.

  • All RAWs are built in the Trevor James Pro Sax Workshop in Lenham, Kent, U.K.
