Looking after a clarinet is relatively easy but there are a few steps that can help reduce the number of times you will get your flute repaired.

One of the most common ways to damage a clarinet is to bend the keys whilst putting it together.

Below is a short film to show how to assemble a clarinet correctly.

I would also add that taking your time to put the clarinet together would also prevent many of the repairs we fix.

These measures won't prevent you ever needing a repair on your clarinet but will certainly help keeping it in playing order.

As with all instruments we would recommend getting it serviced every two years. This servicing is free for any new clarinet bought from Curly Woodwind within two years of purchasing.
