Saxophone Workshop - Iain Ballamy
Free Admission
Renowned saxophonist, Guildhall and Royal Academy of Music professor and composer Iain Ballamy will share his inside knowledge of the saxophone in this presentation as a D’addario endorsee of 20 years.
Topics covered will include reeds and mouthpiece set up, articulation, sound production and control as well as practical practice techniques.
With space for anecdotes, discussion and questions, this promises to provide insight and prove valuable to players of all levels. The workshop will also serve as an excellent introduction to Iain's concert with Huw Warren at 1pm.

The workshop is free to attend but you must pre-book by emailing capstone@hope.ac.uk withSax Workshop 2017 in the subject field of the message and details of how many workshop places you would like in the email. All places will be booked on a first come, first served basis. NB: please do not bring your saxophone with you but it may be useful to bring manuscript and a pencil to make some notes!
